HomeAndHangar is a service to permit you to get more enjoyment from your flying. Instead of traveling to an airport to enjoy the $100 hamburger or chat with the folks at the FBO, HomeAndHangar allows you to get out and see the sights.
When you arrange an exchange, you have a hangar to park your plane, a home to stay in and enjoy, and a car to see the sights. Instead of just seeing the Rocky Mountains from any of Colorado's Front Range airports, you could stay in a two bedroom, two bath home just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. You can spend a day or two hiking, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, or any of a number of activities. Then you can return to your private home to a relaxing Jacuzzi tub for two.
Or perhaps you have a long cross country trip. Instead of staying in a hotel, check the list for people willing to host a pilot for an evening. You will save on your hotel, your host may be willing to meet you at the airport, and you can enjoy time with someone who shares your interest in flying.
Or fly to Double Eagle II Airport (KAEG) and stay near the internationally recognized Albuquerque balloon festival grounds. If you arrange an exchange in early October, you can head out to the festival grounds or just relax at home and watch the balloons from a distance.
